The beginning of St. Theresa Girls’ Vocational Secondary School can be traced far back in 1999 when Rev. Fr. Mutungirehe Odomaro (Now the late) was posted to work in Ibanda Parish as a parish priest after chaplaincy work at St. Josephs Vocational School Nyamitanga. From research findings especially from those he worked with in educational institutions it is said that, Late Fr. Odomaro Mutungirehe’s whole life was just full of educational values and love for the youths. It is no wonder therefore, that he came up with a suggestion of starting a Girls’ secondary school during one of the meetings for St. Theresa Primary School after being faced with a situation and trend of a Catholic Girl Child after the completion of Primary school.
